Suggérer une correctionGiorgio Vasari bought this house in 1540 and decorated it with rather bland, semi-Mannerist paintings with the help of his contemporaries and students. There are works by Il Poppi, Alessandro Allori, Santi di Tito, and, of course, Giorgio himself. The best of the Vasari pieces are a Deposition in the second room and a painting in the first room of Virtue, Envy, and Fortune duking it out on the ceiling. It features a nifty optical trick: The figure that appears to be on top changes as you view it from different perspectives.
